«Des-authorizados» is the combination of three stories, three realities that coexist and feed on each other. The journey begins in the imagination of ELIA K, the director, who imagines ELÍAS, a character who is a poor playwright who faces the crossroads of being faithful to his art, or succumbing to the pressures of the producers- he must decide between delivering his work or paying the price of his freedom. On another plane, we have NINA and FEDERICO, the protagonists of the play that Elías is writing. They only seek to love each other, they are forced to get out of the role and pressure Elías so that he gives them the ending that their story deserves. This is the starting point of "Des-authorizados", a film that takes place in an imaginary city , colorful and delirious. In the vein of "Amelie" and "Stranger Than Fiction", it brings us a reflection on art, creation, love and heartbreak.
